Silo Sealer

Silo sealers are machines designed to pack and seal silage in silos, minimizing air exposure and promoting proper fermentation. Their features vary depending on the type and manufacturer, but here are some common and important features:

  • Heavy Rollers: Large, weighted rollers that move across the silage surface, compressing it.
  • Tractors/Vehicles with Spreaders: Tractors or specialized vehicles drive over the silage, compacting it as they spread it.
  • Hydraulic Arms/Packers: Hydraulically powered arms with packing plates or wheels for localized compression, often found on smaller, more targeted machines.
